Professor Queen-Bee is proud to have collaborated with several well-known arts organisations and conservation charities - either as one of her many ‘eco-clown’ characters and/or in a consultancy role drawing on her background and knowledge as an experienced ecologist.

 1) Nature Nurture CIC

Professor Queen-Bee has collaborated with Nature Nurture CIC on a wide range of amazing community events for over 10 years.

Nature Nurture is on a mission to connect urban communities with the with nature and heritage on their doorsteps - especially those considered ‘hard to reach’. Drawing on her background and knowledge of ecology and environmental science, Professor Queen-Bee has employed many of her ‘eco-clown’ characters including The Tree Doctor and Professor Smarty-pants plus a range of (native) woodland creatures at many of Nature Nuture’s Family Wild Days and curriculum-linked sessions with many local schools.

The Wild Workout - Nature Nurture

Launched at BBC Countryfile Live in 2019, The Wild Workout combines physical activity with well-being in nature. To this end - Professor Queen-Bee becomes a range of wild-creatures including Bossy Badger, Revolutionary Fox, Jane-Fonda Rabbit and the Batty Bat.

Mission Lousehill - Nature Nurture

Professor Queen-Bee used her experteese (plus a bit of a sleight of hand and a lots of smoke and mirrors) to help ‘Operation Lousehill’ de-code the secret messages they found in and around Lousehill Copse Local Nature Reserve, Reading.

Wild West - Nature Nurture.

As The Tree Doctor, Professor Queen-Bee led bug hunts and other hands-on, interactive activities as part of the Wild West Project - based in McIlroy Park and Lousehill Copse, West Reading.

2) The Annual Daydream Harvest

Professor Queen-Bee has collaborated with Nick Garnet’s Annual Daydream Harvest, Flamboyance, community led project in Reading for over 5 years.

This has included working as a puppeteer (operating a large chameleon) and as Mr. Punch who wandered around the streets of Whitley chatting and engaging with local people. In addition, she has performed as several other hilarious characters such as a ‘Scary Fortune Teller’ and a (somewhat revolting) red carpet hostess called Ms Dimeanor - who knows only too well how to woo the paparatzee.
